MATERIALS

PLASTER is a durable and strong material. However, plaster dust, bits and chunks may fall if knocked. Finished plaster is generally resistant to moisture and can be gently cleaned. Unfinished plaster is porous and thus will have a chalky surface and take on surface dirt or greases (such as from hands). They can be sanded or left as is, as part of the story of the piece. Not all pieces available are sealed; inquire about specifics. The plaster strips that are often used do not allow for a smooth surface; take care when placing onto surfaces. 

WATERCOLOR and TEA settle into the plaster and wood well but are still a bit delicate - note that exposure to sunlight or moisture will diminish the saturation or vibrance of the materials. 

Fixative is applied to CHARCOAL and ASH. However, take care not to brush or rub as it could smear the materials.   

METAL LEAFING may tarnish when put into contact with skin. It is easily scratched by sharp objects, such as fingernails.

SHIPPING

Many pieces are delicate, heavy or awkward. Due to the complexity of shipping and variance of cost by location, shipping charges are not posted online and will be discussed at the time of your purchase. Direct delivery available throughout much of California.

COMMISSIONS
